Vikrant J Gokhale

Vikrant J. Gokhale (S’10–M’14) received the B.Tech. degree in electronics and instrumentation from the Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India, in 2007, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Michigan in 2010 and 2014, respectively. From 2007 to 2008, he was at Honeywell Sensing and Controls, where he was involved in smart MEMS pressure sensors. He is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, MD, USA. In 2018, he received the National Research Council’s Research Associateship Award. At NIST, his projects include the use of spatially resolved optical metrology techniques for quantifying and visualizing femtometer-scale dynamics and energy dissipation mechanisms in high-frequency MEMS resonators. His other research interests include GaN-based RF MEMS and phononics, resonant MEMS sensors, integrated sensor systems, and nanofabrication technology.
