Thomas Braunbeck (PhD, Professor) is an expert in aquatic toxicology working with endocrine disruptors (gonads, thyroid gland), cytopathology, histopathology of fish, genotoxicity assessment, embryo toxicity, neurotoxicity and biomarkers. He has 30 years of experience in the area and has published over 250 international articles and books in this area. As the head of the section Aquatic Ecology and Toxicology located at the Center for Organismal Studies at the University of Heidelberg, he has supervised over 50 PhD students, 80 State exams, 150 Diploma/MSc and 90 BSc candidates.
