Professor Tak-Wah Wong MD, PhD [also known as Te-Hwa Wang (Ken)] works in the Department of Dermatology, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Center of Applied Nanomedicine, National Cheng Kung University Medical Center, Taiwan. His major research interests are in photobiology, oncology, and wound healing. His paper published in the Journal of Controlled Release (2006) has been the “Top 10 Articles Published in the Same Domain” since its publication. He is the pioneer of photodynamic therapy (PDT) in treating skin cancers in Taiwan. The research of PDT has been extended from neoplastic diseases to infectious diseases and wound healing. Working with colleagues in the center, he is now applying new immunotherapy on challenging cancers in a “humanized mice” model and mechanistic studies with exosomes with encouraging results
