Thomas Clausen

Thomas Clausen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on October 22, 1964. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Lyngby, in 1990 and 1993, respectively. The subject of his Ph.D. dissertation was the development of photodiodes on III–V semiconductor material. From 1993 to 1996, he was with the DTU as an Associate Professor working on superconductor and semiconductor device technology. From 1996 to 1998, he was with Mikroelektronik Centret developing high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cells. From 1998 to 2000, he worked for Ibsen in Denmark on Optics Communication Devices and from 2000 to 2002, he worked with Brüel & Kjær Sound and Vibration Measurement A/S, Nærum, Denmark on the development of MEMS measurement microphones. Since 2002, he has been with Topsil Semiconductor Materials A/S, where he working with technical applications of Float Zone silicon.
