My lab and I are currently working on the improvement of important starchy root crops: 1) We are using multi-omics data from cassava (Manihot esculenta) to increase its productivity as one of the most important staple crops in the tropics and subtropics 2) Using population genetics and bioinformatics approaches we are trying to identify the underlying genetic components in potatoes to improve its heat resistance.
