Shuo Han

Shuo was born in Anhui, China, and spent his childhood in various places in China and the US. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in chemical biology at Tsinghua University in 2014, and his PhD with Dr. Alice Ting at Stanford University in 2020, during which he pioneered the development of APEX proximity labeling technologies for mapping molecular interaction. He subsequently worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Philip Beachy at Stanford to study epithelial stem cell and tissue regeneration, before starting his own lab at SIBCB in 2023. Shuo’s research has been recognized by numerous awards, including the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation Fellow Award, Stanford Dean’s Fellowship, Sammy Kuo Award in Neuroscience, Bio-X William K. Bowes Fellowship, Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad, among others.
