Sébastien Albrecht

Sébastien Albrecht received his PhD in 2006 from the Université de Haute-Alsace under the supervision of Prof. C. Tarnus and Dr. A. Defoin. After postdoctoral studies at the University of Birmingham, he joined the Drug Discovery Unit at the University of Dundee (UK). In 2011, he was appointed Assistant Professor at the Université de Haute-Alsace and since 2018, he has led the Medicinal & Phytopharmaceutical Chemistry team at the Laboratoire d’Innovation Moléculaire et Applications. Sebastien’s research interests are the synthesis and biological evaluation of novel compounds as inhibitors of metalloproteases.
