Stephan Wieneke received the degree in physical engineering from University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Göttingen, Germany, in 1999, and the degree in physics from Clausthal University of Technology, Clausthal–Zellerfeld, Germany, in 2003, where he is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree. In the context of an assistant program, he attends the Clausthal University of Technology, Clausthal–Zellerfeld. He developed several sealed-off $\hbox{CO}_{2}$ lasers and worked on different types of dielectric barrier discharges at atmospheric pressure. He is currently working on new plasma sources for the generation of extreme ultraviolet radiation. His research interests include plasma diagnostics, source development, and plasma simulations with COMSOL multiphysics and computational fluid dynamics-active core exhaust.
