Peyronnet Remi

We focus on understanding how cells sense their environment and adapt their function to changes in mechanical states. We combine various readouts including electrophysiology, functional imaging and biomechanical assays to assess acute effects and more slowly occurring adaptive responses to mechanical stimulation, from the molecular level (single ion channels) up to cells and whole organisms (including plants, rodents, and human). We have strong interests in the role of stretch-activated channels
