Nathalie Lefort

Natha Lefort has acquired expertise in the field of disease-specific human pluripotent stem cells and their application for pathological modeling. She worked for 10 years in I-Stem Institute (Institute for Stem cell Therapy and Exploration of Monogenic diseases). Since 2005, I-Stem has pioneered, in France, in research on hESCs based therapy. Dr N Lefort belonged to the “neurodegenerative research group” which produced striatal precursors from hESCs and transplanted them in a rodent model of Huntington's disease (HD) and more recently in HD monkeys. She has acquired expertise in the field of human pluripotent stem cells (hESCs and hiPSCs) and their application for pathological modeling or for cell therapy.
