Currently, he is establising the Electron Density Molecular Theory (MEDT) for the study of reactivity in organic chemistry. This theory is based on the assumption that changes in electron density, and not molecular orbital interactions, are responsible for the molecular reactivity.
MEDT goes against obsoleted and chemical inconsistent models such has the FMO theory, the Houk's distortion/interaction model and the Bickelhaupt's activation strain model.
