Bischof Leanne

Leanne Bischof received the bachelor’s degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering from the University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba, QLD, Australia, in 1977, and the master’s degree in biomedical engineering from The University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, NSW, Australia, in 1989. She was an Electronics Technician with the Tidbinbilla Tracking Station, Canberra, Australia, part of NASA’s Deep Space Tracking Network, from 1978 to 1979. From 1980 to 1983, she was an Electronics Engineer with Racal Defense Systems, Weybridge, U.K., where she was involved in developing radar jammers for the British Navy. In 1984, she commenced the position that turned her career toward image analysis when she became a Manager at the Image Analysis Laboratory, Center for Remote Sensing, UNSW. She joined the CSIRO Quantitative Imaging Group, North Ryde, NSW, Australia, in 1990, where she was involved in a wide range of commercial image analysis projects during her career there, specializing in object segmentation and feature extraction techniques. She left CSIRO and became a Private Consultant in 2015.
