Laura Trouille

Laura Trouille was born in Evanston, IL, USA, in 1981. She received the B.A. degree in physics from Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH, USA, in 2003 and the Ph.D. degree in astronomy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Madison, WI, USA, in 2010. From 2010 to 2012, she was a CIERA Postdoctoral Fellow with Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA. From 2012 to 2015, she was a jointly appointed Astronomer with Northwestern University and The Adler Planetarium, Chicago, IL, USA. Since 2015, she was the Senior Director and is currently the Vice President of Citizen Science at the Adler Planetarium. She is an author of more than 30 peer-reviewed publications. Her research interests include supermassive black holes and galaxy evolution, computational thinking in STEM, and citizen science. She is Co-PI for the Zooniverse online citizen science platform and leads the Adler's Teen Programs efforts. Dr. Trouille is a member of the American Astronomical Society and the American Geophysical Union.
