个人简介
I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Natural Science Biology (specific in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). During my Ph.D. studies under the mentoring of Professor Cong-Zhao Zhou and Professor Yuxing Chen, I used X-ray crystallography to solve protein structures. By the time I graduated from USTC in 2014, I solved many protein structures, including C-methyltransferase, epoxide hydrolase, fungal glycosyl hydrolase and transcription factor.
In 2016, I got my postdoctoral fellow in Professor Z. Hong Zhou’s group at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and continued my structural biology study with cryo-EM. Since joining the group, I have had a fruitful experience with cryo-EM in different projects, including HpUreI channel structure (published by Science Advances), Anthrax channel toxic complexes (published by Nature Communications, Structure), virus-host protein complex (published by Nature Structural & Molecular Biology) and VSV nucleocapsid structure (published by Nature Communications). In September 2020, I went back to China and worked as an associate professor at USTC. During the two years at USTC, I solved the amyloid fibril alpha-synuclein A53E mutation and guided the study on sialidase SiaPG.
In 2023, I joined UCLA as a project scientist, continuing my enjoyable work and study on cryo-EM and cryo-ET.
