个人简介
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Medicine, The University of Queensland. My research focuses on inflammation in the neonatal brain following hypoxic events. Preterm birth, intrauterine growth restriction and hypoxic-ischemic (HI) brain injury are major contributors to mortality and long-term morbidity in the neonate. Currently there are no pharmacological interventions available that significantly alleviate brain injury in the neonate. My research aims to better understand the mechanisms of neuronal injury, which is critical for the identification of potential targets and development of improved treatment options for babies who develop brain damage. My research focuses on examining key inflammatory mediators; critical for HI-induced effects on neuronal networks.
