Judith A. Leech

Judith Leech trained in medicine at Queen's University, in respirology at McGill University, and in sleep medicine at the University of Illinois. She developed the sleep laboratory at The Ottawa Hospital-Civic Campus. Since 1986, she has been an Associate Professor with the Department of Family Medicine, University of Ottawa. She is also currently with the West Ottawa Sleep Center, Ottawa, where this study was performed. She is a Principle Investigator on a number of pharmaceutical studies in sleep medicine and Coinvestigator with the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Ottawa, current studies on sleep apnea and the heart. Dr. Leech is the past Vice President-Clinical of the Canadian Sleep Society (CSS) (currently member-at-large of the CSS executive committee). She is the Cochair of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario task force on standards for sleep laboratories.
