Jinia Roy (Member, IEEE) received the bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, in 2011, the M.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, Kanpur, India, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ, USA, in 2017. She is currently with GE Global Research Center, Power Electronics Group, Schenectady, NY, USA. Her research interests include topologies and control methods for switch mode power converters, wide bandgap based power electronic interfaces, renewable energy systems, and reliability of solar inverter. She was the recipient of the 2019 IEEE PELS Prize Ph.D. Thesis Talk. She also was the recipient of the IEEE/PEDES’96 Award for the Best Thesis in Power Electronics from IIT Kanpur, 2013 and two Best Paper Presentation Awards by the Technical Organizing Committees of ‘IEEE IECON 2014’ and ‘APEC 2017’.
