Ivana Nikolić, PhD, Associate Professor
Work experience:
2022-present: Associate Professor (teaching subjects: Starch Technology and Starch Processing Technology, Modified Starch and Starch Hydrolysates, Energy in the Food Industry)
• 2017–2022: Assistant Professor ; 2014–2017: Assistant; 2011–2014: Research Associate; 2009: Scholar of the Serbian Ministry of Science and Education; 2015: PhD thesis: „Physical and sensory characteristics of functional food spreads based on cellulose hydrocolloids and flour of pumpkin seed cake”; Date and place of PhD defense: Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad, 13th October 2015.
• My research work includes the analysis of macromolecules with carbohydrate origin, such as cellulose, starch and fibers, also, the analysis of their behavior in different food systems. So far, my total publications include 82 articles, SCI research articles 23, and participation in 3 projects, 359 citations and Hirsh index 8.
Other trainings and work experiences are:
• 2010–2016: Participation in mentoring work with students of basic academic studies at the Faculty of Technology, in the field of Food Engineering, module Carbohydrate Food Engineering, during the school years 2010/2011 and 2015/2016.
• 2013: Participation in the Wastewater separation and cleaning techniques course, held in Szeged, Hungary, September 23-26, 2013 as part of the Cross-border Network for Knowledge Transfer and Innovative Development in Wastewater Treatment Project Team
• 2014: Participation in staff exchanges through the project EDUFOOD– Development of education and transfer of knowledge in the area of food technology, at Sør-Trøndelag University College, Faculty of Technology, Trondheim, Norway.
• 2016: Participation in TRAIN programs "Entrepreneurial Skills" and "" Preparation of project applications and project management ", held in March-April 2016 at the University of Novi Sad organized by the University of Novi Sad.
