Hidetoshi Numata

Hidetoshi Numata received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in basic science from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 1992, 1994, and 1998, respectively. His Ph.D. thesis was “correlation interferometer for measurement of ballistic photons propagating in highly scattering media and its application.” He was with the laboratory for laser physics and quantum electronics. In 1998, he joined the display technology group with IBM Research, Tokyo (Tokyo Research Laboratory). He is currently a member of the optical interconnect technology group with IBM Research, Tokyo. He is a member of Optical Society of America, the Physical Society of Japan, the Japan Society of Applied Physics, the Japan institute of Electronics Packaging, and IEICE (the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers). He is also a Program Committee Member of ICSJ (IEEE CPMT Symposium Japan).
