Haroon Rashid

Dr. Haroon Rashid is an engineer, researcher, lecturer and trainer. Currently, he is attached with Photonics Research Centre (An HICoE - Higher Institution Centre of Excellence) of University of Malaya as Research Fellow. He is an active member and volunteer of IEEE - USA, IET - UK and National Academy of Young Scientists (NAYS) - Pakistan. He is the Chair (EA) of IEEE Young Professionals Malaysia, Vice Chair of IEEE Consultants Network Malaysia, Founding Leader of IEEE Malaysia Section Blockchain Group and ExComm of IEEE Professional Activities Committee of Engineers (PACE), Malaysia. His current research interests are in the areas of 2D-TMD materials for opto-electronic applications, thin films fabrication & characterization, solar photovoltaic, nanotechnology & renewable energy app.
