Muhammad Asif was born in Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Pakistan, in 1990. He received the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in telecommunication engineering from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) Pakistan, Punjab, Pakistan, in 2013, the master’s degree in communication and information systems from Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU), Xi’an, Shaanxi, China, in 2015, and the Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei, Anhui, China, in 2019. He is currently working as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Electronics and Information Engineering, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. He has authored/coauthored several journals and conference papers. His research interests include wireless communication, channel coding, coded-cooperative communication, optimization and resource allocation, backscatter-enabled wireless communication, and IRS-assisted next-generation IoT networks.
