Bio
Duan Guifang, Ph.D., Associate Professor, graduated from Ritsumeikan University in September 2009 with a Ph.D. in engineering. From October 2009 to March 2012, he was a postdoctoral fellow of the University's comprehensive science and engineering research institute. From May 2012, he worked at the School of Mechanical Engineering of Zhejiang University. The main research areas are machine vision, digital design and manufacturing of complex equipment, digital prototypes and virtual reality. As the person in charge, he has presided over the 973 project sub-project, the 863 program sub-project, the National Natural Science Foundation and the Zhejiang Public Welfare Fund, and published more than 40 SCI/EI papers, applying for invention patents in China, Japan, Korea, and the United States. In 2012, the winner of the Best Academic Paper Award of the International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR), as a major member, won the first prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education for Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Award. IEEE, IEICE member, editorial board of international journal Advances in Multimedia Technology, head of innovation team of South Taihu Lake Elite Program, Zhejiang University "seeking young scholars".
