Bio
Goutam Koley (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, in 1998, the M.S. degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree from Cornell University in 2003. He is currently the Samuel R. Rhodes Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Clemson University. Prior to joining Clemson, he was a Faculty Member with the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of South Carolina, from 2003 to 2014. He has published over 80 journal articles, coauthored four book chapters, and presented more than 175 conference talks and seminars. He also has seven issued patents with several others pending. He is a co-founder of four start-up companies and a member of the APS. His current research interests include wearable sensors and systems, III-Nitride MEMS based chemical, physical and biological sensors, as well as two-dimensional material based heterojunctions for nanoscale sensing and energy harvesting.
