Dr. Erika Penz is Associate Professor at the University of Saskatchewan and a specialist in Internal Medicine and Respiratory Diseases at Royal University Hospital in the Department of Medicine. She self identifies as a Burdenologist. Her research interests are primarily in applied health economics where she performs cost-effectiveness analyses alongside clinical trials and uses decision modelling to help inform healthcare decision makers about use of new and existing healthcare interventions and technologies. Her clinical research interests relate to tobacco and e-cigarette use, particularly in youth and high risk populations, lung cancer screening and prevention, COPD and palliative care medicine.
