He is currently a staff respirologist at St. Paul’s Hospital and the head of Respiratory Medicine at Providence Health Care in Vancouver.
His main research focus is to discover novel biomarkers to improve the care and diagnosis of patients with COPD, which currently is the 3rd leading cause of death worldwide.
Dr. Sin has published more than 450 peer-reviewed papers.He serves on the Editorial Boards of Chest and the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, and on the Scientific Committee of GOLD. Dr. Sin has an H-index of 92.
