My research assesses the impacts of human activities in aquatic and terrestrial environments at different biological scales. My research projects focus on: 1. Ecotoxicological impacts of nanoparticles, herbicides, heavy metals and UVR. 2. Ecological modelling of human impacts at ecosystem level (water quality and invasive species). 3. Use of plants as biomonitoring tools for airborne pollution. 4. Algal biotechnology for water treatment.
