I am working as principal scientist, at Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR- IARI, New Delhi and 21 year’s experience in the field of Plant Pathology including in the field of plant bacteriology and post harvest diseases of fruits & vegetables. I am also working on bacterial diseases of fruits and vegetables especially black rot of crucifers and citrus canker. I have developed Bio-PCR based protocol to simultaneous detection of Ralstonia solanacearum and Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora from potato tubers and developed Bio-PCR based protocol to detect Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae from rice seeds and planting material, X. campestris pv. campestris from seeds and planting material of cole crops and detect Ralstonia solanacearum from symptomatic tomato plants, irrigation water, and soil
