Daniel Francis

Daniel Francis received the Ph.D. degree in applied physics, with a focus on semiconductor lasers, from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, in 1997. He is currently the CTO of Group4 Labs, Inc., Fremont, CA, a material development company focused on the development of high-power electronic materials. He was a member of the Founding Team, Genoa Corp., a telecom start-up focused on materials and device innovations for the telecommunications industry. He was a Visiting Post-Doctoral Researcher with the University of California, Berkeley, in 1998, where he was engaged in research on semiconductor lasers. He has authored or co-authored more than 50 papers in refereed journals and conferences and holds 20 issued or pending patents.
