Carina Costa

Carina Costa is a Research Grant from University of Aveiro. Carina Costa got is her Master in Clinical and Environmental in 2014 from the Department of Biology, University of Aveiro, Portugal, working on gas chromatography and volatile metabolites from fungi samples (supervisors Prof. Sílvia M. Rocha and Prof. Adelaide Almeida). Previously, she was Research Grant in project: “PORTO NÃO SACCHAROMYCES – selecção de leveduras não Saccharomyces endógenas ao Vinho do Porto”, and in present she is Research Grant in project: SambucusValor - Valorização integrada do sabugueiro em função dos padrões de consumo saudável: da planta à criação de novos produtos alimentares de valor acrescentado. Her scientific interests are focused on the study of volatile metabolites from Candida albicans samples and volatile characterization of various matrix, for example, Porto wine using advanced chromatographic methodologies as two-dimensional gas chromatography.
