C. L. da Silva

Caitano L. da Silva received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Penn State University, State College, PA, USA, in 2015. He has been an Assistant Professor of Physics with New Mexico Tech, Socorro, NM, USA, since 2018. His ongoing NSF CAREER project is focused on the development of physics-based, computationally-efficient, and data-constrained models for advancing the understanding of lightning and its impacts. He has authored more than 20 articles on the research topics of lightning, atmospheric electricity, plasma discharges, electrical coupling of atmospheric regions, transient luminous events, and waves in plasmas.
