Anis Shobirin Meor Hussin

Anis Shobirin Meor-Hussin received the Ph.D. degree from International Islamic University, Selangor, Malaysia. She did her postdoctoral training at the Institute of Food Research, Norwich, U.K. She is currently the Head of Department of Food Science, Faculty of Food Science and Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Selangor, Malaysia. She has authored or coauthored more than 60 papers in highly reputable journals. Her current research focuses on developing starter cultures for plant-based fermentation to produce metabolites with biological activities. She aims to produce functional foods at low cost and high value for health benefits.
