Bio

Ana Isabel González, MD, PhD is the operational manager of the Innovation Unit and International Projects at Madrid Health Ministry. She has worked as well as senior researcher at Avedis Donabedian Research Institute, and at Institute of General Practice of Goethe University (Germany). She is a general practitioner since 2000. She has sound experience and knowledge in clinical quality and performance research, as she has participated in several research projects (e.g., ROUTE, COMPAR-EU, e-mpodera, iPCSPCP), and has been in charge of the development and improvement of health services (e.g., implementing the Strategy for the Care of Chronic Patients in Madrid Health Service). She has published more than 30 scientific and methodological articles in national and international journals, and she is the author of more than 20 book chapters. Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery (Autonomous University of Madrid). PhD in the field of healthcare quality (Rey Juan Carlos University, Madrid).
