Abstract
Perivascular Spaces (PVS) are small fluid-filled tunnels formed by astrocytes, and are an integral part of the glymphatic system, which is responsible for maintaining brain homeostasis by eliminating neurometabolic waste. PVS abnormalities have been linked to multiple clinical conditions and transdiagnostic symptoms such as those related to sleep, but the labor intensiveness of PVS analysis is a practical barrier for incorporation into standard clinical use, and development of automated quantification of PVS is of critical importance.
