Zong Qin

Zong Qin received the B.S. degree in optical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2008 and 2013, respectively. After serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow with National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, from 2013 to 2015, he continued working there as an Assistant Research Fellow from 2016 to 2019. In 2019, he joined Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China, as an Associate Professor. He has published more than 20 SCI-indexed papers and more than 15 patents in different countries. His research interests mainly include display system, display optics, and applied vision (e.g., VR/AR, 3D display, light field display, head-up display, and flexible displays). He has received three times of Distinguished Paper Awards from SID Display Week and four times of Best Paper Awards from other international conferences. He is currently serving as a Committee Member of SID Display Week (Display System) and SID China (e-paper and Flexible Displays).
