Zhuo Wang, MD, PhD, studied the transmission and processing of biophoton signals in synapses and neural circuit. His work has demonstrated that human high intelligence is involved in spectral redshift of biophotonic activities in the brain and spectral blueshift of biophotonic activity and transmission in the ageing mouse brain. He is interested in the underlying pathological mechanisms and treatment of cognitive impairment diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia.
