Dr Zhifei Xu, Professor, doctoral Supervisor. She is currently consultant pediatrician of the Department of Respiratory Medicine and Director of Sleep Center at Beijing Children’s Hospital, National Center for Children’s Health. She is vice President and general secretary of Pediatric Sleep Association under the Chinese Sleep Research Society, vice President of Pediatric Sleep Group under Chinese Medical Doctor Association and President of the specialist training subgroup under the Chinese Pediatric Society. She has been engaged in Sleep medicine for more than 20 years, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of snoring and sleep apnea in children. She has made excellent achievements in diagnosis, complication and CPAP treatment of obstructive sleep apnea in children. She presided many projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, national Sci-Tech support plan, Beijing Medical Administration, etc. She had published more than 90 original research and review articles in peer-review journals including CHEST, SLEEP and European Respiratory Journal. She has served as the principal executor of the Chinese diagnosis and treatment guidelines in the corresponding field of her specialty. She is vice editor of books and author of chapters in sleep medicine. She was offered as the Outstanding Medical Doctor in scientific research by Beijing Health Bureau In 2013. She won the Songqingling Pediatric Medicine Awards in 2012 and 2019.
