Prof. Bai was appointed as personal professor at the Laboratory for Plant Breeding of Wageningen University & Research, led by Prof. Richard Visser. She studies the genetic and molecular mechanisms of disease resistance. Her focus is to link fundamental research in the laboratory to applications in the breeding practice by working together with national and international seed companies.
