I am currently Professor Emeritus of Kwansei Gakuin University. Previously, I has been a faculty member at the Faculty of Science of Kyoto University and Naruto University of Education. So far, I have carried out field studies on Japanese macaques at Arashiyama and Yakushima, chimpanzees at Mahale Mountains National Park, and ringtailed lemurs at Berenty Reserve, as well as intertidal creatures, human laterality, and methods of educational support to the handicapped students.
