Yuan Xu

Yuan Xu was born in China, in 1971. He received the Ph.D. degree in physics from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, USA, in 2003. Since 2005, he has been working with Ryerson University, Toronto, ON, Canada, where he is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Physics. His research interests include the development of novel algorithms to improve the image qualities of ultrasound images and to reduce the cost of ultrasound imaging systems.
