I study the diversity in life histories and behavior, both within and between species, and how this variation influences population dynamics, biological interactions and ecosystem functioning. I am very fascinated by seasonality and aim to understand how seasonal environments shape ecological processes and evolutionary adaptations. Research questions are often about the scheduling of annual events, such as reproduction, energy storage, dormancy and migrations, and the trade-offs involved.
