Kok Yeow You was born in 1977. He received the B.Sc. degree in physics (Hons.) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia, in 2001, the M.Sc. degree in microwave from the Faculty of Science in 2003, and the Ph.D. degree in wave propagation from the Institute for Mathematical Research, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Serdang, Selangor, Malaysia, in 2006. He is currently a Senior Lecturer with the Communication Engineering Department, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai, Malaysia. His current research interests include theory, simulation, and instrumentation of electromagnetic wave propagation at microwave frequencies focusing on the development of microwave sensors for agricultural applications.
