个人简介
Yoshimasa Sugimoto received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in electronic engineering from Shizuoka University, Shizuoka, Japan, in 1978, 1980, and 1996, respectively.,In 1980, he joined the Central Research Laboratories, NEC Corporation, Kawasaki. He has been involved in the research and development of photodetectors, vertical cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs), and dry etching processes for III–V compound semiconductors. Since 2007, he has been with the National Institute for Materials Science, Tsukuba, where he is currently developing nanoprocessing technologies for nanophotonic devices such as photonic crystals for ultrafast photonic devices, plasmonic optical color filters, and metamaterial devices. From 2004 to 2007, he was a Visiting Professor with the Center of Tsukuba Advanced Research Alliance, University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba. Since 2010, he has been a Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan
