Akimasa Yoshikawa received the Ph.D. degree in science from Kyushu University in 1997. He is currently a Professor with the Faculty of Science, Kyushu University, where he is also affiliated with the International Center for Space Weather Science and Education. He is also appointed as a PI of MAGDAS Project. His research interests include magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling, such as aurora particle acceleration process, formation process of Cowling channel, global current system, using theory, computer simulation, and data analysis.
