Erin A. York is a postdoctoral fellow at the Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance at Princeton University. She was previously a research fellow at the Middle East Initiative at the Harvard Kennedy School and earned her PhD from Columbia University. Her research addresses institutions under autocracy, with a focus on legislative institutions and opposition participation. Additional research interests include the political economy of the Middle East and North Africa as well as ethnicity and migration. Beginning in Fall 2021, she will be Assistant Professor of Political Science at Vanderbilt University.
