His researches in biology were dedicated to survival of erythroid cells and to innate immunity. He developed programs in medical science to evaluate clinical value of biomarkers in various fields of emergency medicine. He mostly focused on acute infectious diseases. He explored new strategies to improve initial assessment of community-acquired pneumonia and proposed a different approach for diagnosis.
He participated to French and international Taskforces and guidelines for healthcare workers. He has co-authored over 100 publications in peer-review journals and published substantial comprehensive material for medical education. He is a member of the executive committee of the French Society of Emergency Medicine.
