Gu Yalong

Yalong Gu received the B.Eng. degree in electronic science and technology from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2003, the M.S. degree in optical engineering from the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in optical science and engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Charlotte, NC, USA, in 2011. He is a Calibration Support Scientist with Global Science & Technology, Inc., Greenbelt, MD, USA, working on the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) calibration and validation. His research interests include radiometric calibration of optical instruments, light propagation in turbulent/turbid media for remote sensing, and optical imaging applications.
