Xiang Pan

Xiang Pan, associate professor of Sichuan Agriculture University, and associate Chair of the Department of Landscape Architecture. Professor Pan received Ph.D from Dongguk University in Korea from the year 2009 to 2013. Before that, he studies and earned Bachelor's Degree in Beijing Forestry University and his major was landscape architecture. Professor Pan joined the college of Landscape Architecture in fall 2013. He teaches courses Landscape Architecture Design, Digital Landscape Architecture Theory and Practice, Urban Green Space System Planning and Urban Park Design. His doctoral dissertation focused on preservation and value assessment of historic cultural landscape. Current research, he is devoting himself to, is culture heritage preservation and discovering new opportunities and values for historical sites, based on digital mapping technologies and machine learning methods. Besides, he explores the possibility to apply ancient culture to modern landscape design. Professor Pan has won the Third prize from Science and Technology Department of Sichuan Province in 2022, and LID-Based Key Technologies of Wetland Park Ecological Restoration, Third prize in Science and Technology from Chinese Forestry Society in 2020. He has led the National Science Project, and other four provincial projects, and published 10 more academic papers.
