William G. Read

William G. Read was born in Rockville Centre, NY, on April 14, 1957. He received the A.B. degree from Occidental College, Los Angeles, CA, and the Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from the University of Illinois, Urbana, in 1979 and 1983, respectively. From 1983 to 1985, he held an NRC-NASA Resident Research Associateship award at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA, and then became a JPL employee. Currently, he is a Principal Research Scientist and a Co-Investigator for the NASA Earth Observing System Microwave Limb Sounder.
