I joined IBM Research in March 2000 as a Post-Doc researcher and became a Research Staff Member in the Collaborative User Experience group in Cambridge in the Fall of 2001. My main research areas are Human Computer Interaction, Social Software, Computer-Supported Collaborative Work, and most recently Recommender Systems. I am particularly interested in the application of recommender systems in social media spaces and measuring their value with real users. I love building and evaluating novel software systems with real users.
