From being appointed as one of the key designers responsible for the development of national organ allocation policies and its computing system in 2009, to initiate the China-International training program since 2015, I have been dedicating my professional career in developing deceased organ donation program in China for the last 13 years. To help accelerate process of the national deceased organ donation program, I dedicated fully on three main areas: >>From 2009-2016: Maximizing the fairness & efficiency of organ allocation through conducting series of research studies & developing computing system Allocating the donated organ in a fair & effective way is one of the key elements in securing public trust in any organ donation & transplantation program. My education background in computing, statistics & organ transplantation medicine enhances my professional competence in leading national research studies on organ allocation policy & the development of its computing system from 2009-2016.The successful launch of the allocation computing system nationwide reflects the joint-efforts made by the health authority, hospitals & professionals in the field. >>From 2015-now: To initiate and to enhance the education pathway & the academic network for professionals in the fields Learning from the best. The friendship and support from the international community granted my confidence in cooperating with different international and national institutes to develop more than 30 national or regional training course in organ donation and procurement in China since 2014. In 2016, my team helped the implementation of the Erasmus+ Programme of European Union “Knowledge transfer and leadership in Organ Donation from Europe to China (KETLOD)”. Coordinated by 4 European Universities and 7 Chinese universities together with their affiliated hospitals, this programme aims at implementing a postgraduate course on Organ Donation at the higher educational level in China. In order to further strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad, under the supervision of the Chinese society of organ transplantation, China Medical Association, I was appointed the secretary-general of NEW HORIZON curriculum in 2020. the NEW HORIZON curriculum aims at enhancing the academic exchange between the Chinese and the international professionals, focusing on the cutting-edge topics in the field of organ transplantation & its clinical research. In 2022, NEW HORIZON has been expanded thanks to the joint-effort from the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT). 10 international focus webinars & a joint-session with India Society of Organ Transplantation have been organized under this joint-effort in 2022. >>From 2020-now: to help develop the first independent provincial OPO in China Working as the director of scientific department of Shanxi provincial OPO, I have been focusing my attention on establishing the first independent OPO & its operating mode for pursuing the best daily practice of organ donation. Meanwhile, thanks to the recognition given by colleagues in the field, my team was able to create the first non-profit society for organ & tissue donation at the national level in 2020. A set of scientific publication & national expert consensus have been developed under the society framework.
